Africa is an amazing continent for wildlife and a safari in Uganda gives you an awesome opportunity to see an incredible diversity of birds and mammals. I spent over two weeks in December 2016 traveling through the incredible country of Uganda. I was traveling with a select group of tour operators, writers, and bloggers, to attend the first African Birding Expo, organised by Uganda Tourism Board.
I’ve always wanted to travel to Africa and could hardly believe that I was getting the chance as I made the long flight from my home in Indiana to Entebbe, Uganda. During the trip, there were incredible experiences around every corner. From the first morning on safari, seeing giraffes, lions, elephants, hippos, and more to tracking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the fun never stopped!
With funding from CEDP, Uganda Tourism Board carried out promotional activities and organised a number of experiential trips for tourism bloggers, writers and operators to help sell Uganda as a destination of choice.
